Segmenti metallici germogliano dall'acqua e si
moltiplicano generando forme vuote e piene.
Sono le venature leonardesche della terra, la tessitura trasparente di geodi leggeri su cui ci si siede come
galleggiando sul vuoto.
La loro trama disegna ombre e genera suoni senza tempo.
Metal segments sprout from the water and multiply,
generating full and empty forms.
They are the Leonardesque veins of the earth, the
transparent threading of lightweight geodes on which
one sits like floating in the void.
Their backbone draws shadows and creates timeless sounds.

Giorgio Vigna's work is constantly developing along an imaginary line between the various fields of art and design, creating sculptures capable of putting his imaginative force in resonance with the elements of nature in its primordial and primary aspects.
In Vigna's work, sensible to tribal evocations and to ethnic memories of which he is passionate connoisseur and collector, matter and form are always in close relation with the body and its gestures.
In 2011 Giorgio Vigna was invited by Fortuny Museum in Venice to take part to the exhibition TRA. Edge of becoming during the 54º Biennale d'Arte, especially realizing Sospeso sculpture. This invitation has been a strong recognition of Vigna's artistic value, bearing witness of the long growth path gained in thirty years of activity. This path has been characterized by numerous solo exhibitions hosted by major museums both in Italy and abroad, including Altre Nature in 2010 at Palazzo Fortuny; Giorgio Vigna - Jewels in 2007 at Design museum in Helsinki with a book published by Moleskine and his solo exhibition in 1992 at Museo d'arte contemporanea Luigi Pecci in Prato.
